Oneida Nation residents fear destruction of homes

FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2003

Oneida Nation tribal members are awaiting action on a lawsuit that seeks to stop inspection of their homes.

The residents want a federal judge to stop the tribe from acting. They say inspection is one step before demolition of their homes.

The tribe last year destroyed the trailer home of a woman who resisted the inspections.
