Gaming leader not worried about NIGC letter

MONDAY, MAY 19, 2003 The head of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association says he isn't worried about a crackdown on illegal Class III games. Tracy Burris, who is also head of the Chickasaw Nation tribal gaming commission, told The Daily Oklahoman and The Native American Times that the Bush administration is working with tribes. He said a letter from Phil Hogen of the National Indian Gaming Commission is not really a mandate to remove Class III games. Get the Story:
