Mashantucket Tribe sued over hotel earnings

THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2003 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is being sued for allegedly failing to pay earnings from a tribally-owned hotel to a business partner. Mystic Hotel Limited Partnership sold the hotel to the tribe but has an agreement to share revenues when the revenues hit a certain rate. A private arbitration firm ruled that the hotel failed to reach that threshold from 1998 to 2001. The tribe says the arbitration ruling is final. Get the Story:
