The Cayuga Nation and the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe criticized an anti-treaty rights group for plans to protest a tribal development.

Upstate Citizens for Equality said it will protest at the Cayuga Nation's new gas station and convenience store. The tribe recently purchased the land, which is located in its former reservation.

The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe, based in Oklahoma, has also reacquired former reservation land. The tribe plans to open a Class II bingo hall.
