LeRoy Howard was re-elected chief of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma, The Syracuse Post-Standard reported.

Howard said he will push forward the tribe's plans to open a Class II bingo hall on ancestral land in New York. The tribe recently acquired 229 acres within its former reservation.

Local officials and some members of Congress are lobbying the Bush administration to stop the tribe.
