Tribal members in Fla. have own bowling league

TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2003 Members of Florida tribes have been playing the Miccosukee Mixed, a mostly Indian bowling league. The league was formed five years ago and has 20 teams. Most are members of the Miccosukee, Seminole and Creek tribes. Some team names reported by The Miami Herald include Pin Killers, Total Domination, the Annihilators, Strike Strike Spare and Trail Forty One, named after the road leading to the Miccosukee Reservation. Miccosukee Mixed isn't the only Indian league. The Native American National Classic attracts thousands of teams from across the country every year. Get the Story:
