Flathead woman wins NEA award for work

TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2003 Agnes "Oshanee" Kenmille, a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana, was awarded a National Heritage Fellowship for folk and traditional arts from the National Endowment for the Arts. Kenmille, 76, was recognized for her traditional Salish beadwork and regalia. Her fellowship is worth $20,000. Get the Story:
