New collection showcases Lumbee writers

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18, 2003 "River Spirits," a new anthology published by the University of North Carolina-Pembroke, showcases 49 Lumbee writers. The book is edited by Stan Knick, the director of the Native American Resource Center at the university. Featuring poetry and short stories, it is believed to be the first comprehensive collection of modern Lumbee writers. Get the Story:
