Members of the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa should be allowed to resolve a leadership dispute within the tribe, The Quad City Times says in an editorial.

The paper says any interference by the Department of Interior or the National Indian Gaming Commission will undermine internal tribal affairs. "Let Sac & Fox tribal leaders resort to the courts if they must to resolve fairly simple political disputes," the paper says.

Rival factions of the tribe are in the court system to gain control of the tribe's casino.
