A faction of the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa held an election last night to vote on a law firm that reportedly charged the tribe $340,000 for one month of work.

The vote was 304-11 to oust Dorsey and Whitney. The firm's contract was authorized by the elected tribal council, which called the election a sham.

The feuding within the tribe prompted the closure of the tribe's casino.
