Catholic bishop pleads not guilty in hit and run case

TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2003 Catholic Bishop Thomas J. O'Brien of Phoenix, Arizona, pleaded not guilty to leaving the scene of a hit and run accident that left a Navajo Nation man dead. O'Brien is suspecting of hitting Jim L. Reed, a 43-year-old construction worker. He has not been charged with any other crimes. A conviction of leaving the scene of a crime brings up to 3.75 years in prison, according to The Arizona Republic. Get the Story:
