Crews battle blazes on two Wash. reservations

TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2003 A fire in a remote area of the Colville Reservation in Washington has grown to 8,000 acres, the Associated Press reports. The Rattlesnake Canyon Fire began last week week due to unknown causes. No homes or lives have been threatened by either blaze. A separate blaze on the Spokane Reservation in Washington grew from 700 acres to 1,075 acres. The Paddle Fire was apparently started by errant fireworks. Get the Story:
