Mich. tribe donates to local arts athletics

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2003 The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has donated money to support arts and athletics programs at Central Michigan University. The tribe donated $15,000 for the first Michigan Story Festival. The October 17-18 event will feature storytellers in the areas of music, art, thought and image. The tribe is also sponsoring the CMU Chippewas with $50,000. The money will be used for radio and TV advertising. Get the Story:
