The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has donated money to support arts and athletics programs at Central Michigan University.

The tribe donated $15,000 for the first Michigan Story Festival. The October 17-18 event will feature storytellers in the areas of music, art, thought and image.

The tribe is also sponsoring the CMU Chippewas with $50,000. The money will be used for radio and TV advertising.
