An Oglala Lakota activist whose brother was found dead near the border town of Whiteclay is suing the state of Nebraska to force an investigation into the unsolved deaths of as many at 50 men.

Thomas R. Poor Bear's died was found near the Pine Ridge Reservation in nearby South Dakota. He wants the state to create a task force to investigate deaths of Lakota men dating back to the 1970s.

The suit was filed in federal district court in Omaha, The Lincoln Journal Star reported.
