Mohawk Tribe starting up N.M. cigarette factory

FRIDAY, JULY 11, 2003 A company owned by the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation of New York is opening a cigarette factory in New Mexico, The Albuquerque Journal reports. The Native Trading Associates is leasing a building from the city of Moriarty. The venture needs approval from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives, a business executive said.
