Many items on agenda for Navajo Nation council

MONDAY, JULY 21, 2003 The Navajo Nation council will start its weeklong summer session today. Many items are on the agenda. According to The Farmington Daily Times, they include a discussion of the Discover Navajo Pavilion at last year’s Winter Olympics, reports from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Indian Health Service, consideration of President Joe Shirley Jr.'s nominees and adopting new laws. The session begins with a ceremony welcoming those delegates who arrive on horseback in Window Rock, Arizona, the Navajo Nation capital. Get the Story:
