Both chambers of Congress have passed a bill to return 24 acres of land to the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California.

The land, currently held by the U.S. Forest Service, is around Lake Tahoe. The tribe wants to preserve it for traditional purposes. No commercial development is allowed.

The bill goes onto President Bush for his signature.
