MAY 8, 2000 Students from Santo Domingo Pueblo debuted their own opera this past weekend at the Santa Fe Opera. The 63 students, from first grade to eighth grade spent the entire winter working on their love story called "The Outcasts." The plot was primarly written by four boys. University of New Mexico students played the lead roles, while the Santo Domingo students danced and sang. The Little Eagle Juniors drum group performed their own songs in Keres. The play will also be performed May 27. Get the Story:
