ABC hosting Native talent showcase

FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2002 The ABC television network is hosting a Native talent showcase featuring "Smoke Signals" filmmaker Chris Eyre in Los Angeles, California, on Monday. The Native American Showcase will be held at the ABC hosting Native talent showcase at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage (4700 Western Heritage Way) at 8 p.m. The showcase is being hosted in conjunction with American Indians in Film and Television and Native Voices. Chris Eyre, of "Smoke Signals" and "Skins," will direct Native actors in various scenes, according to ABC. The event is aimed at casting directors, agents and other industry professionals.
