MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2002 The 19th annual Gathering of Nations Pow-Wow was held this past weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The two-day event drew spectators from tribes throughout the United States and Canada. The 17,000-seat-arena was packed as an estimated 3,000 dancers crowded the pow-wow floor. Tia Smith, a member of the Cayuga Nation of the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario, Canada, was named Miss Indian World 2002. She is a 21-year-old student. Get the Story:
