Opponents of bilingual education in Arizona hope their Election Day success will inspire similar efforts in states like Colorado and Texas.

voters in Arizona approved replacting bilingual education with a one-year English immersion program. Tribal leaders opposed the measure even though its proponents said it was only meant for Spanish-speaking students.
