Man complains about nickname protest
NOVEMBER 22, 2000

A man is complaining that a student-led protest in October against the University of North Dakota's "Fighting Sioux" mascot put his life at risk.

Although he says his recollection is hazy, he says their protest slowed down his travel to a hospital in Grand Forks. He suffered three heart attacks the day of the protest.

He isn't planning legal action but says he is mad about the incident and that protest over the nickname shouldn't take more importance than a human life.
