Ten tribal leaders from North and South Dakota on Tuesday reaffirmed their opposition to the "Fighting Sioux" nickname of the University of North Dakota by passing a resolution calling for the school to change the name.

The leaders met last night on the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. UND President Charles Kupchella attended the meeting.

Kupchella didn't attend another panel in which the issue was also discussed on Tuesday. About 80 persons attended the discussion.
