Archaeologists in Swanton, Vermont, are excavating pot sherds, projectile points, and fire hearths from a native site dating to 1,000 BC.

April Rushlow, acting chief of the Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi, says the finds help show continual occupation of the area by Abenaki.
