Haskell offered $3m to support highway

The Kansas Department of Transportation is offering Haskell Indian Nations University a package worth more than $3 million to support a highway proposal that doesn't run through sacred wetlands.

The school and an environmental group had opposed the state's original proposal. The wetlands area is believed to include burial sites.
