SEPTEMBER 14, 2000 Republican Presidential candidate and Governor of Texas, George W. Bush, will hold a town forum on education in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at 5PM on Friday. Bush last came to New Mexico to meet with tribal leaders and to unveil his initiative for funding tribal schools. He said, if elected, he would propose spending $1 billion as part of his Tribal School Capital Improvement Fund. The All Indian Pueblo Council, representing New Mexico's 19 Pueblos, endorsed Gore after he visited with them last month. Get the Story:
