FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2001 The Army Corps of Engineers held a public meeting in Hope, Idaho, on Thursday night to inform the public of a project they already plan on undertaking. That has led residents and the Kalispel Tribe to complain about not being informed in time of the plans to build a gravel pad in the middle of Indian Meadows. Indian Meadows has been the gathering site for tribes for hundreds of years. The Army Corps apologized for not doing a better job of alerting people. But they say if they delay the project and hold public hearings, it will cost them money. Get the Story:
