SEPTEMBER 5, 2000

The Heritage School, an alternative program on the Tulalip Reservation in Washington, will educate 60 Native students from grades six through 12 and focus on language, culture, and history of the Tulalip Tribes.

The school is a joint venture between the Tulalips and the Marysville school district. It is hoped it will evolve into a full-service school.
