Historic site threatened by development

An historic site occupied by ancestors of today's Southwestern tribes is being threatened by development of $500,000 homes in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area.

Known as a Hohokam ruin, the 200-acre site is 1,300 years old. It will be the subject of debate todya on how to protect it and whether the project developer needs to work with area tribes on repatriation issues.
