WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2001 The Walking Shield American Indian Society, a non-profit group, is coordinating the delivery of 100 old Air Force Homes to the Turtle Mountain Ojibwe Reservation in North Dakota. The homes are needed because a significant number on the reservation are infested by a health-threatening mold. Walking Shield hopes to get the first ones in by Christmas. The homes won't fulfill the stated need. The tribe says 320 homes are infested and is also planning to build 40 more. Get the Story:
