Meeting to focus on cell tower

MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2001 The owner of a cell phone tower in New Mexico will hold a public meeting tomorrow in Pecos to address local complaints. Jemez Pueblo says SBA Towers Inc. failed to consult with the tribe before the tower was constructed. Members of the tribe use land near the tower for ceremonies. Local residents are also seeking to move the tower. A local county has rejected SBA's conditional use permit. Get the Story:
