OCTOBER 13, 2000 Sled dogs in Alaska threatened with death and starvation will get a boost from about 22 and a half tons of dog food being sent to them. Low salmon runs on the Yukon River led mushers and dog owners to consider putting their dogs to death rather than watch them starve. Get the Story:
