At EPA Whitman faces big job

As head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Christine Todd Whitman faces several tough decisions such as rolling back Clinton administration decisions and how hard to enforce cleanup of toxic waste sites across the country.

The EPA is also facing a potential Supreme Court challenge and a proposed cleanup of the Hudson River. The former Governor of New Jersey is expected to be confirmed easily by the Senate. Her hearing before the Environment and Public Works Committee takes place on Wednesday.
