Neb. hemp bill gains support

The Nebraska Legislature's Agriculture Committee on Thursday voted 7-0 to approve a bill that would allow licensed farmers to grow industrial hemp.

The bill's sponsor, Sen. Ed Schrock of Elm Creek, said he hopes it will allow farmers in the state to take advantage of the growing market for hemp products.
