President Carter promises Arctic fight

Former President Jimmy Carter on Monday said he will do all he can to prevent oil development in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Carter said yesterday's GOP proposal would destroy the refuge and that the area holds just a very small amount of oil that wouldn't be available for use until 10 years from now.
