Secrecy of water talks with tribes questioned

MAY 2, 2001 Oklahoma lawmakers are trying to get the Governor's office to reveal the status or provide documents about the potential sale of water to Texas. The Governor has been meeting with officials of the Choctaw Nation and the Chickasaw Nation. They are working on a water rights compact over billions of gallons of water. Rep. Charles Gray, D- Oklahoma City, said he will ask for the help of the Attorney General's office if he can't get any information out of the Governor. Get the Story:
