Alaska on verge of oil boom

Oil companies and the state of Alaska are on the verge of a boom in production as lawmakers and officials push for opening up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.

The state is also pushing the construction of a $10 billion natural gas pipeline to the lower 48.
