WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 After months of negotiations, the Connecticut town of Preston on Tuesday announced it will buy water from a company owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The town had been considering being its own water provider but a town leader said the agreement is a "win-win" for both involved. The water company is not located on trust land.
