WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 The Inter-Tribal Bison Cooperative joined two other organizations on Tuesday in filing a lawsuit aimed at stopping cattle grazing on land next to Yellowstone National Park. By ending grazing, the groups hope to stop the slaughter of bison who live in the park. Montana state officials are allowed to kill bison who wander out of the park in order to prevent cattle from contracting brucellosis. Even if the grazing ends, the US Forest Service says it won't change the bison killings. Get the Story:
