Nearly 100 tribes in Western states are hoping to cash in on the power crunch being experienced in some areas.

The Fort Mojave Tribe already has a $300-million, 540-megawatt power plant on its reservation which is located spans the California, Arizona and Nevada border. The plant provides free power to reservation residents and supplies energy to 539,000 other households in the three states.
