Blackfeet to tap into wind power

SEPTEMBER 11, 2000 The Blackfeet Nation and SeaWest WindPower of California are partnering up to create Montana's first commercial wind farm. The tribe has been exploring the feasibility of wind power and the company says the tribe has a great ability to tap into the resource. The two will build 15 turbines beginning next May and the tribe will offer energy at less than 5 cents per kilowatt. Get the Story:
