Reservation crews battling fires

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2001 Fire crews from six Montana reservations are fighting blazes in several southeastern states. Four crews from Fort Belknap, one from the Rocky Boy, five from the Blackfeet and three crews each from the Fort Peck, Crow and Northern Cheyenne reservations have been dispatched. Another crew composed of Fort Peck and Crow firefighters has also been sent. Nearly 70,000 acres of land have been burned this past week in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and Georgia. Get the Story:
