THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2001 It's Wednesday afternoon, you're at the U.S. Capitol and you want to hear debate over drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Where do you go? Not to a soiree arranged by Sen. Frank Murkowski (R-Alaska), it seems. The Anchorage Daily News, who appears to have survived a number of his press conferences, reports that despite a panel of Inupiat Eskimos, Orthodox Jews and other "minorities," turnout was light. Instead, you go see Robert Redford. No, he's not in town promoting his new flick with Brad Pitt. He spoke out against Arctic drilling, drawing what ADN called a much larger crowd. Get the Story:
