Report: Pueblo monument says underfunded

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2001 The Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico, where last year's massive Cerro Grand fire was started, is short $2.4 million in funds, a group of business students says in the monument's business plan. Only about a third of the money needed by monument is provided by the National Park Service, a bureay of the Department of Interior, the business plan says. More money is needed to manage trails, buildings and handle artifacts, according to the plan. Bandelier houses the ruins of a Pueblo village. Get the Story:
