Trapped bald eagle put to sleep

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2001 Veterinarians at Tufts University in Massachusetts have put to sleep an American bald eagle who was rescued from the clutches of a hunter's trap. The eagle was discovered December 3 in Maine with its leg caught in a trap meant for coyotes. Veterinarians were unabel to stop an infection from spreading through the eagle's body after amputating its leg. Get the Story:
