Government to set up center for kids

NOVEMBER 21, 2000 The Newfoundland government has told the Innu community of Sheshatshiu in Labrador that it will set up a treatment center for troubled youth. Health Minister Roger Grimes made the announcement on Monday. Chief Paul Rich had wanted the goverment to remove the kids from their homes without parental consent, but Grimes said the problem would be best treated within the community. Get the Story:
