Ed John, Grand Chief of the First Nation Summit, is planning to run for the Prince George-Omineca rider in the Legislature next year. John was appointed to the BC cabinet by Premier Ujjal Dosanjh on Wednesday.

The leader of the Council of Yukon First Nations says the Canadian Alliance Party would limit established and future aboriginal rights if they win the election.
