BRITISH COLUMBIA:
Treaty negotiations in British Columbia are back on track. First Nations leaders had complained of the slow moving process and the lack of funding. Cheam leaders had set up a road block in protest of the process.

NUNAVUT:
A remote Nunavut community whose power generator was destroyed in a fire earlier this week will receive a new one. After a small generator was used to power the airport, a larger one was flown in on a special military plane from Winnipeg. It will act as a back up until a new power plant can be built.

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES:
The Dogrib Rae Band in Yellownife will be cutting and polishing diamonds in an agreement with one of the largest diamong processing companies in the world.

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is appealing a ruling that allows a union at a casino in Prince Albert.
