Squamish Nation gets $92M

The Squamish Nation will receive $92 million from the federal government in settlement for its land claims on 600 hectares in North Vancouver.

The band's 3,000 members will vote on the settlement July 23. The money would go into a trust fund for housing, education, and elderly care.

The Nation has other pending land claims with British Columbia and the federal government.
