First Nations to get separate gun registry

The Assembly of First Nations and the federal government have approved a plan to have a separate gun license and registration process for Canadian Aboriginals.

The system will work in conjunction with the Canadian Firearms Centre. Amending the federal Firearms Act to allow First Nations to issue licenses directly is being eyed.
